Lubrication Application

Monition can provide engineering advisors to ensure site has selected the appropriate lubricants and re-lubrication schedules. There are many acceptable methods for estimating the appropriate re-lubrication volume and frequencies. Whilst many may provide some positive results, they tend not to take all factors into consideration.

Welcome To Lubrication Services

Monition Ltd offers a range of Lubrication Solutions using experienced engineering advisors. Monition has in-depth knowledge in lubricant application, analysis and life cycle management.

Therefore, Monition use scientific methods to ensure correct greases and oils are appropriately selected for an application, thus to improve equipment and lubrication longevity as well as ensuring plant reliability. Monition have conducted real world independent trials for over a number of years along with research and lab analysis to determine the most appropriate lubricants for different applications across a range of industries, including the harshest washout and chemical environments. Monition is also able to provide sites with onsite managed services to enhance site awareness and improve application, as well as improving site controls and adherence.

There are four main categories to Monition's Lubrication Solutions each designed to combat the four main factors relating to lubrication issues as explained below as well improving equipment longevity and manufacturing performance as well as potentially reducing lubrication spend.

Monition Lubrication Solutions

There are four primary components to precision lubrication: lubricant selection, application method, the volume of lubricant to be delivered and the frequency with which it is applied or replaced.

Many different methods are available for specifying these values, and opinions can vary concerning which approach is best. Therefore, Monition has developed best practice approach using trials, research, analysis and experience.

  • Component life increased by more than 300% (Failure rates decreased from 3 months to over 12 months)
  • Re-lubrication intervals decreased from once every 4 hours to once every 24 hours
  • The amount of lubricant used in certain applications has reduced by >80%

A scheduler has been derived that defines default values, which are then fine-tuned, based on feedback from site surveying, and collection of operating parameters, as well as using CBM Analysis and other factors.

Geometry, environments and operating parameters should be considered as part of any world-class program.

By acquiring knowledge of the fundamental parameters used to define lubrication values and applying Monition’s scheduling tools (as well as application, experience and knowledge) site can improve the reliability of machinery, improve cost controls and continue to shift the lubrication program to the preferred and fiscally sound proactive strategy.
